We’re Back and We’re Leveling Up!
After the huge success of our first DiscoAbility event, I knew we had to bring it back. But this time—it’s not just back. It’s better.
Welcome to DiscoAbility Round 2 – our inclusive 90s-themed disability disco on the Gold Coast, where we crank up the energy, music, and smiles.
What’s new this time?
✅ New venue – Crosslife Helensvale
No more toilet dramas or people getting locked out. This space is more accessible and still gives you direct access to the party room. 🎉
✅ New sound – JBL you-beaut speakers
Last time, the music was basically whispering. Not anymore. I’ve invested in two powerful JBL speakers so we can finally feel the music. Bonus: having two speakers also means we can create a loud side and a quieter side of the room to keep things sensory aware.

✅ Dedicated devices for everything
Last time I tried to use one phone for music, check-in, and payments. Rookie error. We’re going full pro this time with a setup that runs smoothly.
✅ Pizza pre-orders
To avoid wastage and confusion (and save my waistline from 20 leftover slices), we’re doing $10 pre-orders:🍕 2 slices of pizza (cheese, BBQ chicken, or BBQ meatlovers)🥤 1 drink
Extras on the night: $5 per slice / $3 drinks

New packaging, clearer sizes. Easy.
Same heart, same fun
The heart of DiscoAbility hasn’t changed. It’s still all about PWD and supports getting together in a way that’s natural and joyful, not grouped by provider, but meeting real people and building real connections.
And the best part? The supports didn’t just stand around—they got involved. Dancing, laughing, joining in. That’s what makes these nights special.

I won’t say too much yet… but I might be cooking up a few other event ideas behind the scenes. Nothing locked in—but if this keeps going the way it is, let’s just say this might be the start of something even bigger.
